Ann Braden, Certified Yoga Therapist
I started practicing yoga in the early 90’s with my big hair-sprayed bangs. My personal experience with breast cancer in 2011 showed me how much love and support is available when I am willing to ask for help. And, it also gave me direct experience adapting yoga to manage the emotional and physical challenges of being a cancer patient.
In my class you’ll be guided in building healthy movement patterns, relaxing deeply and connecting with your own source of healing. You will breathe, move and laugh along the way.
A little background about me, I am a Certified Yoga Therapist. Yoga therapists have additional training in specialty applications of yoga. It’s basically grad school for yoga teachers.
I hold advanced certifications
– Yoga Therapy from the Tensegrity Center for Yoga Therapy in Santa Monica
– Loyola Marymount University’s Yoga Therapy Rx program
– Nischala Joy Devi’s Yoga of the Heart training
– Tari Prinster’s yoga4cancer program
And I am a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT). I teach private sessions and group classes.
When I’m not teaching yoga, I’m creating formulas for my organic apothecary line, Lovetree Essentials.
I make my products for wholehearted, bad ass, inspiring women. Women who have been through some shit and who may be building a new life from the ashes of their previous life. Women who may not know how courageous they are.
Random fun fact: I love to sing along with my favorite playlists (kind of obsessed with George Ezra right now) and playing with our animals – Pom Pom, Rosie, Teddy, and Spirit.
